Several Injured as Pleasantville Hit With Three Accidents in One Day

Pleasantville, CA (July 16, 2019) — Pleasantville experienced a series of three crashes on Tuesday, July 16, two of which occurred within an hour of each other and only a mile apart.

According to police, more than 10 people were involved between all three accidents.

The first accident occurred early in the morning around 8:00 a.m. Police reported that a driver struck a utility pole after swerving to avoid a cyclist. No details about the severity of the accident were made available.

The second accident happened in the early afternoon on the Atlantic City Expressway. Around 2:48 p.m., a large tractor-trailer collided with a car. One other vehicle was also involved. The accident caused delays for commuters heading eastbound.

A second accident on the expressway reportedly happened as a result of the delays caused by the first and involved four vehicles. Details about the exact nature of the crash were not immediately available.

The second accident occurred at around 3:51 p.m., just over an hour after the first.

Further details on injuries from the two accidents on the expressway were not released, but police did report the accidents were considered serious.
