Bicyclist Killed in South L.A., Second Vehicle Still at Large

South Los Angeles (February 12, 2019) - Late Monday evening a bicyclist was struck and pronounced dead the scene in South Los Angeles near the Florence neighborhood.

Witnesses say that two vehicles were speeding down South Broadway when one of the vehicles hit the bicyclist. Although, it is not confirmed whether or not the two vehicles were racing. The bicyclist was later confirmed as 55-year-old John Findley.

One of the drivers was detained by police at the scene of the crash and is described as a 30-year-old Hispanic man. The Los Angeles Police Department is still searching for the second vehicle involved.

There have been no further details released about the second vehicle involved in the accident. The crash still remains under investigation.
