22-Year-Old Woman Identified as Victim of Deadly Crash in Van Nuys
Van Nuys, CA — According to representatives for law enforcement, Paulina Hernandez, a 22-year-old woman, has been identified as the victim of a tragic multi-car accident in Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles. Ms. Hernandez was reportedly hospitalized for more than a week before succumbing to traumatic injuries.
The crash occurred at the intersection of South Sepulveda Boulevard and Victory Boulevard, at approximately 2:00 AM on the morning of Saturday, August 18th. The highway authorities have released very limited information regarding the cause of the accident.
A study conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) found a large percentage of serious urban motor vehicle accidents occur at intersections. Indeed, nearly four in ten multi-vehicle collisions in the United States take place at intersections.
