Orinda City, CA (July 1, 2019) — Two people were killed and at least five others injured in a crash on Highway 24. Late Sunday, June 30, California Highway Patrol reported that a Saturn, driven by a 35-year-old male, was heading east in the westbound lanes when the accident occurred.

The Saturn initially collided with a Toyota, containing four passengers and the driver. Both the driver and passenger in the Saturn were killed in the accident. The occupants of the Toyota experienced minor injuries and were treated at local hospitals.

According to police, the driver of the Saturn may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident.
