Fresno, CA — A 56-year-old man died Wednesday morning in a collision involving three vehicles.

Bruce Johnson, the passenger, died after a Chevy collided with the Ford that Johnson was in.

The accident occurred while the Chevy was making a left-hand turn at the intersection of Belmont Ave and Newmark Ave around 6:30 a.m.

The driver could not maneuver out of the way in time and collided with the passenger side door. The Chevrolet continued eastbound after the first collision and side-swiped a Hyundai.

The driver of the Ford, 34-year-old Charles S. Williams, sustained moderate injuries and recieved aid at a local hospital after the crash.

According to CHP, the other drivers, 27-year-old Cristal O. Aviles and 45-year-old Dwane Shadowens, only suffered minor injuries and were not transported to the hospital

The cause of the accident is still unknown and CHP is still under investigation. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
