Woman Who Struck by Another Vehicle Minutes After Crash Expected to Survive

San Diego, CA (July 21, 2019) — A woman was seriously injured following two accidents along Poway Road early Sunday, July 21. Authorities report that the woman, whose identity has not been released, initially lost control and flipped her vehicle while heading eastbound on Poway Road.

After she exited the vehicle, she was trying to cross the busy roadway when she struck by another car on the westbound side. The 23-year-old driver of the second vehicle stayed on the scene and dialed 911. The police immediately ruled out the possibility that the second accident was caused by DUI.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, however, authorities have released information that she is expected to survive. Police are continuing to investigate the situation.
