Senior Citizen Killed in Pedestrian Collision in Los Angeles County

La Verne, California - According to reporting from KTLA 5, an 89-year-old California man was killed after being struck by an oncoming vehicle along a stretch of Arrow Highway in La Verne.

The terrible crash occurred early in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 31st, near the point at which Arrow Highway intersects with A Street.

The La Verne Police Department released a statement indicating that emergency first responders quickly arrived on the scene and found an elderly man lying in the roadway, badly injured. He was then transported to a local hospital where, tragically, he passed away from his injuries.  

Law enforcement officers noted that the driver remained at the scene of the pedestrian collision and that they were cooperating with the investigation in the pedestrian accident. Neither the driver nor the victim has been identified and no specific details regarding the cause of the collision were released to the public.
