HIGHLAND PARK, CA (May 6, 2019) - $50,000 reward has been offered for information that might help solve a hit-and-run that left two brothers dead last Sunday.

Benigno Zuniga, 25, and Jesse Zuniga, 19, were on their way home through Highland Park around 1 a.m. when their Ford Fusion was struck by a Chevy Silverado.

Witnesses say the pickup was traveling about 70 to 90 miles per hour at the time of the accident.

Surveillance footage released by the Los Angeles Police Department shows two people exiting the Silverado briefly before leaving the scene without rendering aid.

The two people, reported to be Hispanic men in their 20s, abandoned their vehicle at the scene. According to authorities, the truck is shared by a family and was not being driven by the owners at the time of the crash.

Friends and family of the victims have urged the wanted men to turn themselves in. According to a GoFundMe page set up for the victims, Benigno was a recent business graduate of Cal State Northridge. Jesse was a graduate of Franklin High School, where he competed in track and field.

The City of Los Angeles announced a $50,000 reward and urges anyone with information about the case to contact the LAPD.
