1 Killed and 2 Injured in 4-Car Crash Along Highway 101

San Jose, CA - A crash in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 killed one person and sent at least two others to hospital early on Thursday, August 8th.

California Highway Patrol responded to the crash around 3:30 a.m. just north of Bailey Avenue.

Emergency crews reported that all four cars involved had burst into flames. “Vehicles don’t usually catch on fire when they’re in a collision,” Fire Captain Brad Cloutier said.

All but one lane of the northbound route was closed for several hours while crews worked to clean up the scene. No further information has been released about the cause of the crash or the victims.
